Spotify is the world most popular paid music streaming service (but in the future it will grow less)

The streaming is the future of music. Spotify is constantly growing. The company had a grow profit margin of 27 percent in the fourth quarter of the 2018.

Spotify growth will probably deteriorate in 2019.

Firstly, analysts expected a growth of 26 percent for the year. Instead it will be a gross profit margin of 22.5-24.5 in the first quarter and to 22-25 percent in 2019.

In 2016 the growth was 52 percent, 39 percent in 2017,and 29 in 2018.

However, Spotify is becoming truly a music empire: operating in nearly 80 countries.

It has a total number of 207 million of users in 2018.Launced in Sweden in 2008,it’s bigger than Apple Music and it’s user friendly:”Growth in users is the main focus for Spotify at the moment, the potential market is in the billions”. These are the words of Joakim Dal, the fund manager.

He also said :”I expect the company to continue to invest heavily to gain customers and to improve its product to attract new customers and keep current users”. Spotify’s core business is looking “increasingly comfortable”, according to the analyst Nicholas Hyett.

The platform is keen to renovate itself with new music services and additional content. This is the plan during 2019. Spotify want to connect both artists and recording industry labels to consumers but in non-traditional ways. It want to create a “two-sided marketplace”.
