The Beatles back together in new Ringo Starr’s recording

A new Ringo Starr recording! What if The Beatles will be back together today, many years after John Lennon death? Ringo Starr came up with this idea when he decided to record a cover of one of the last songs written by Lennon.

Many fans of the group dream about listening new stuff like this recording from The Beatles and Ringo Starr! Of course Ringo Starr wanted former bandmate Paul McCartney to play the bass. The song is “Grow old with me” and its particularity are the strings from “Here comes the sun”, inserted by the Ringo Starr’s producer, Jack Douglas. John Lennon recorded a demo of this song in 1980 but he didn’t make it into a album. In Ringo Starr’s version it could be possible hearing Lennon’s voice saying “this’ll be great for you, Ringo”. In an interview Ringo Starr said this song is very important to him. Lennon was one of his greatest friends: “it’s emotional to me” he admitted. Even if Lennon died a lot of years ago, when Ringo listens the song he can remember the past and the glorious days.

Right now “Abbey Road” album returned to the top of music charts because of its 50th anniversary (Ringo said he was “thrilled” about it). The musician also released a new photography book called “Another day in the life”, about his career. The Beatles are history of music; past, present and future of music, more than ever!

This group is even today a great source of inspiration for many musicians and the music of The Beatles really never gets old!
